This series depicts New York City landscapes I’ve been to from September 2021 to May of 2022.
New York City has been vital in my relationships with others and in becoming myself. It’s been the backdrop of many important moments over the past year. These pieces represent my growth as a person and my connection to the people closest to me. As each painting progressed, I grew closer to those around me and bonded more and more.
I’ve really come to love the city because of these moments. I want to go out even more and explore the wonders of the city with the people I love. Especially after spending so much time indoors during COVID, being outside and exploring the city with people I care about became something special.
